Nicole Berg : Senior Associate

Nicole graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Laws Degree.  She has been admitted to practise for over nine years, with eight years exclusively in family law.  She obtained her Masters Degree (also from QUT) while working fulltime.

Nicole is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Family Law Specialist and also an Accredited Mediator.  She has extensive experience in the family law field, including:

• Protecting ‘at-risk’ assets by way of Anton Pillar Orders and Mareva Injunctions;
• Applications for parenting orders involving extensive issues, such as allegations of domestic violence, allegations of sexual abuse, applications to completely sever contact between a parent and a child in cases of serious abuse, allegations of severe parental alienation, and relocation;
• Pre-nuptial and Post-Nuptial Agreements;
• Binding financial Post-Separation Agreements;
• Financial agreements for parties with assets in Australia and overseas;
• De-Facto financial settlements, including Recognised Separation Agreements, Applications to the Supreme Court and Appeals;
• Matrimonial property settlements involving superannuation splits, complex company and trust setups, wastage of asset arguments, and overseas property;
• Domestic Violence Applications and trials in the Magistrates Court;
• Advocacy in the Family Court, Federal Magistrates Court and Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts;
• Child Support Appeals and Agreements;
• Mediations and Arbitrations;
• Acting on behalf of clients in China, the UK, New Zealand, the USA and Japan;

Nicole is a mother of three children. She understands emotionally where you are coming from, the complexity surrounding your issues and is able to offer the appropriate support and legal guidance.
