Kimberley graduated from Griffith University in 2005, having completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies. She then joined WHD as a Trainee Solicitor in January 2006 and was admitted as a Solicitor in November 2007.
Whilst at University, she participated in Legal Clinics run by Caxton Legal Centre and Harrington Family Lawyers, where legal advice and client interaction were provided to the community.
