Admitted to the profession in 1995, Maurice has more than 15 years’ experience as a lawyer, including seven years as Partner of Thompson Hannan Lawyers and Abbott Tout Lawyers (now part of HWL Ebsworth).
In 2004 Maurice joined the Property and Commercial Law (now Business Services) practices of Walsh Halligan Douglas Lawyers. Maurice’s expertise as both a solicitor and owner/operator of a number of large pharmacies across Queensland and South Australia has seen him become a valuable and trusted advisor to his clients, which include a significant number of business and property owners.
Known for his approachability, Maurice’s clients value his straightforward and honest approach to providing legal advice. These attributes have seen Maurice develop a very successful property and commercial practice with a loyal client base.
Maurice advises his clients on a range of property and commercial law issues, including: the sale and acquisition of businesses and property; negotiation and preparation of leases for both Lessors and Lessees; franchising advice and the preparation of agreements for both franchisors and franchisees; advice on business structuring and restructuring; and provision of banking and finance services.
Maurice’s clients include shopping centre owners, franchise groups, pharmacy owners and both commercial and residential property owners.
